Women’s rights and sex discrimination are our focus areas, which are integrated in all of Equality Today’s activity and strategic analyses.
Although we may view individuals as the perpetrators, the underlying cause of violence against women is a societal order that undervalues women.
Physical and sexual abuse, political repression, restriction of educational possibilities, and economic discrimination are all types of oppression against women in such a social system.
As a result, Equality Today fights to create a situation in which women may express their autonomy and independence. We are all about women’s ability to pick their own living standards, exercise their political authority, and manage their own futures without any pressure.
Likewise, we intend to address the underlying causes and repercussions of violence against women.
